Well I have made a new music discovery(new for me anyways) she is a singer from Korea named Younha. A little background(provided by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Younha), because it is very interesting, when she was a young girl she really liked Japanese dramas, and started listening to the music. In her spare time(of which I have no idea when that was since she was a Korean teenager) she studied Japanese until she could translate the episodes for her friends. She started doing singing auditions and after many attempts(she says she was told she wasn't pretty enough, and her mom didn't like the idea either) she got a chance to record in Japan. Her singing was used in a Japanese drama and then at the end of an extremely popular action anime Bleach in Japan. Last year she released her first Korean album as well as a re-release of her first Japanese albums with all the songs translated into Korean(which is the album I just bought last night prompting this entry). I first heard her song "Comet" at Norebang with Jeewon and Mijoung, and I really liked it. I have to remember to take a pen and paper with me next time I go so I can write down the name of some of the artists they sing, because we have similar tastes in music. Anyways, last night I was in the video store that I go to (where I am trying to use up my credits before I move) and her song was playing on the radio with the girl behind the counter singing along. I recognized it and asked her 이 가수 이름이 무워요? ("What's the name of this singer?") and she said "윤하" (Younha). Now, I must unfortunately admit that often times I have the memory of a goldfish. I am just not good at flash memorizing something. So my next stop was E-mart where I went to the record section to find the artist. But I couldn't remember exactly what her name was, but I did remember that it was only two syllables. Well, I saw this album displayed and it looked pretty new, and it was of a girl and only had two syllables in her name (her full name is 고윤하, Go Younha). Ok, so I buy the album, get home, put it in my computer, listen to the first song....and it's just what I wanted. So now I share with you.

Here is the original Japanese version with subtitles so you can understand the lyrics

And here is a couple of live versions from Korean television.

Notice the lyrics in the second version(they are in the lower left hand corner). This is very common for Korean TV, its so you can sing along and practice at home. In fact the Album has an instrumental version of this and one more song(a ballad) so you can really get into it.
Now, sorry, but I want to talk a little more. I really like her because: A) she can clearly sing and has a great voice, B) the song is really catchy, C) she performs it live with a band and on the piano. So this is not a cookie cutter pretty face pop group(though cookies can be yummy). So anyways, for the Asian music lovers, check her out.
One more, here is a cover of Bon Jovi (Always)
